Tiga Mahasiswa UK Petra Selesaikan Karya Di Gurano Bintang

Selama enam hari, ketiganya menyelesaikan lukisannya.

The Brangerous back on ICE (Indie Clothing Expo) track on 11-13th November 2011 at Gramedia Expo. This second coming has brought up more attention from those we called ‘anak gaul’ Surabaya gathered into one at the expo, I might say it was a great opportunity given to us-Brangerous to display our talent and to be seen outside, hopefully there’ll be  still a lot of moment like this when Brangerous will spread its wings and fly away. Though the intolerably hububs were going on around, we could still manage to exhibit  our collections, more than 30 artworks were shown that night (see the picture below)..thanks to The Brangerous (let’s now call Brangerous girl ‘the Brangerous’), thanks for the long evening at Gramex, thanks for all…I am proud to be part of Brangerous!

Mrs. Maya’s artworks..she has just join to Brangerous and below is her first debut..Frankly speaking when she said that she wanted to make one for this expo I was so honored but then she came up with two at once, I couldn’t be more proud to Brangerous…thanks Mrs.Maya for the contribution, they’re unique masterpieces..well done!

Street style

It’s been a while I absent blogging, there are piles of pics and  news I haven’t had time to write to this blog..sorry for those who waiting or maybe dissapointed coz of the posing delaying..

That noon after I had lunch in the canteen, I saw Cici a friend of mine from church youth gathering , there is something unusual in her appearance that attracted my attention to put it to my blog.

she was chatting with a friend, when she knew I was there and she  didn’t mind  when I did candid photo on her, she said: “I’ll look stiff If I pose…” but behind this candid, her style are so Europe, and casual. She wears a baby blue t’s inside black blazer,  and combines them with jeans..It’s groovy!

POSTempoe Doeloe

We learn..we experiencing..we live in a culture that always changing imitating global trends, many we found the authenticity of Indonesia’s tradition are banished as the time goes by, yet we lucky to be fit into the kebaya and batik we wear today at formal events.. they’re remnants of the past we rejuvenate become  contemporary attires we worship today..

I encapsulating Kebaya and Batik in a contemporary way emerged to these photograph. The message is “to be proud of Indonesia” that hopefully can be seen clearly through the photo I give the tittle “Batik InFashion” (read:Invasion)  for ICE Exhibition at Gramedia Expo (Gramex)  13th November 2011.
