Today’s outfit is a combination of vintage and kinda old school but edgy.

The blouse is actually a print art of my drawing, it’s my clothing line I ran sometime ago but then discontinued because I couldn’t put it all together, havingĀ  one thing on one hand and the other thing on the others was like overwhelming to I gave up-the probably the next big thing start ups-how sad šŸ™

this is the original draw with pencil, it’s a resemblance of Alphonse Mucha’s painting that brought up the femininity.
I’ve always have a dream that someday I will have my own drawing studio and transfer every sketch that I make onto clothing… should I give up this dream and just be lecturer? but then I have to take my Phd and probably just choose to study abroad instead. Europe or America, who knows right?

I’ve also been interested to this marketing strategy- to consign with a bigger platform that help you raising the sell say it Zalora, but I’m afraid that I’m gonna need an investor to even begin with.

Choker necklace history

A choker is a close-fitting necklace worn around the neck. Chokers can be made of a variety of materials, including velvet, plastic, beads, leather, metal, such as silver, gold or platinum, etc. They can be adorned in a variety of ways, including with sequins, studs, or a pendant.

The common types of choker include Victorian, vintage, open collar, Gothic, pendant, gemstone, or tattoo.

Historically, it was associated with high fashion, but could take on different meanings under different circumstances. Ballerinas and the upper class in the late 19th century commonly wore certain types of chokers. However, at that same time, the late 19th century, a plain, thin, red or black ribbon choker had ties to prostitution, as seen in Manet‘s Olympia (1861). A plain black woven choker or ribbon could signify secret lesbianism in the Depression era.[1]

The 19th century fashion for broad Chokers reached its peak around 1900 in part due to Queen Alexandra of Denmark wearing one to hide a small scar.[2] Chokers were trendy into the 1920s and again in the ’40s as colliers de chien.[3]

Chokers became quite popular among women and girls in the 1970s and late 1990s. The 1990s fashion trend has recently resurfaced in the mid-2010s.[4][5]

And though I know it became a trend sometime ago andĀ  I’m a little to late to have this topic but I wanna be part of the pop culture in which choker once related to prostitution is one of it. I want to celebrate it, so one or two poses wearing this necklace won’t hurt anybody right??

bought these simple Zara’s thinking that It should be fit in any occasion, including to work.

if you have long beautiful neck you can wear more than one, I notice that the latest trend is to put on different types of choker all at once. There have been modifications like these ones from Zalora

So I have gathered myself buying these little cuties from Newlook, they’re ofxord shoes made of genuine leather. I tried the faux one but they’re not as comfy as mine, maybe because the material affects the heels and my money too šŸ™Ā  but it’s all worth it though..they bring out the look of ‘British style’ on me if I’m not wrong but that’s where the nameĀ ‘Oxford’ come from, right??
